Abstract

Este artigo analisa a insurreição em Cabo Delgado, Moçambique, abordando suas causas, dinâmicas e impactos sociais, económicos e geopolíticos. A pesquisa destaca que desigualdades económicas, marginalização social e tensões étnico-religiosas são os principais fatores estruturais que sustentam o conflito, agravado por disputas sobre recursos naturais e intervenções externas. Utilizando metodologia documental e análise de fontes secundárias, o estudo evidencia os efeitos devastadores da insurreição, como deslocamento populacional em massa, colapso económico local e desafios à segurança regional. O artigo também compara o caso de Cabo Delgado a outros conflitos insurgentes globais, extraindo lições que reforçam a necessidade de uma abordagem integrada, incluindo desenvolvimento económico inclusivo, reforma na governança, segurança humanizada e cooperação internacional. A pesquisa conclui que apenas ações coordenadas e sustentáveis poderão mitigar as causas estruturais do conflito e promover a paz na região.

Author Biography

Juvenal Chadreque Laurinda da Silva, FADM

PhD in Business Management from the University of São Tomás de Moçambique, 2022. Postgraduate degree in Military Sciences from the Higher Institute of Defense Studies “Tenente-General Armando Emílio Guebuza”, Mozambique, 2021. Researcher in the areas of security, defense and strategic studies, with a focus on scientific production in the analysis of the armed forces as instruments of sovereignty, stability and development, addressing topics such as strategic leadership, military professionalization and the modernization of defense sectors in African contexts. Author of several scientific articles published in national and international journals, with emphasis on studies on political regimes, power structures and the instrumentalization of military institutions. Among his works, the books Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho: Economia Centrada no Homem, Factor de Aumento de Produtividade e Desenvolvimento (Quality of Life at Work: Human-Centered Economy, Factor for Increasing Productivity and Development) (2019) and Gestão e Avaliação do Desempenho Humano: A Nova Realidade Empresarial (2021) stand out. He is currently conducting research at the University of Bordeaux, France, adopting a multidisciplinary approach between military sciences, public administration and political science.
