Analysis of the Rights of American Incarcerated Women and a Brief Comparison with Prison Treatment for Brazilian Women

In this research, the reasons for the North American female incarceration and the existing programs are studied in order to elucidate the preconized about North American constitutional rights arising from Amendments I, XIII and XIV, as well as the analysis of the parental rights of incarcerated women, and the rights of children. It is intended to briefly explain the rights of women incarcerated in Brazil and highlight some differences between both prison systems.
