About the Journal
A Revista do Ministério Público Militar foi criada em 1974 pelo então procurador-geral de Justiça Militar, Ruy de Lima Pêssoa. Do primeiro número do Boletim Mensal de Jurisprudência, publicado à época, nasceu a ideia de transformá-lo em uma revista. E, assim, mais tarde, foi lançada a primeira edição da Revista de Direito Militar. Desde esse início até os dias atuais, várias mudanças já foram feitas, inclusive no nome, que passou a ser Revista do Ministério Público Militar, e cada novo Conselho Editorial vem incorporando novas ideias e ações que contribuem para o aperfeiçoamento deste periódico.

Vol. 52 No. 49 (2025): 31 / 5.000 Special Edition "MPM: 105 years"
This edition is composed of two sections, which seek to reflect the appreciation of our history, our trajectory, and our members, staff, and other collaborators. The first, "Law, History, and Institutional Memory," features articles written with the perspective of seeking, in the past, the wisdom and knowledge necessary to impact solutions applicable in the present and the future. The second, named the "Professor José Carlos Couto de Carvalho Award," a traditional event promoted by the National Association of Military Public Prosecutors (ANMPM), represents recognition of the intellectual production of the members of this specialized branch of the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, aiming to highlight the performance of the Military Public Prosecutor's Office in its various areas of legal, preventive, repressive, and resolution-oriented attribution.
